This modus operandi never fairs well for the aggressors and has lasting negative effects for decades/ centuries later. Yet there are numerous examples from millenniums past to today and still accumulating (the Peloponnesian War, the Punic Wars, the Crusades, Eritrean-Ethiopian War, the Mongol Invasions, Rwandan Genocide , the Hundred Year War, the Opium War, World War 1&2, the Korean War, The Vietnam War, the Falkland Islands War, Desert Storm, the Mexican-American War, the Spanish-American War, most recent are the Iraq/ Afghanistan War) just to name under a dozen of thousands over the past three millenniums alone. One thing they all have in common is the need to rally the support of a peoples of an area or nation, often after a great tragedy that is the prelude to a military response/action. They will blast the airways with ”officially approved” statements, with evidence to match that is almost like a story from your favorite movie (in some cases, this a hundred percent accurate). Miraculously the news can give you moment-by-moment, play-by-play of the events as they are unfolding just like sportscaster do. The real power of “newscasters” is foreseeing the events before they occur, and officials have had the time to even begin an investigation?

The media is a well-oiled machine, that is been honed and fine-tuned for centuries. In 1899, newspapers across America began circulation propaganda called “yellow journalism”.

Yellow journalism wasn’t propaganda spewed from government officials directly but private corporations being subcontracted by the government for plausible deniability. Why would anyone do that, considering the risk to reputation and mistrust of their organization?
